Following the huge success of Mission: Impossible – Fallout in 2018 it has been announced that two further sequels are heading in to production.
Overnight director Christopher McQuarrie and star Tom Cruise have confirmed production on back-to-back sequels due for release in 2021 and 2022.
First on social media was McQuarrie who posted a simple message on Twitter: “Mission: Accepted”.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout grossed an impressive $791.1M at the worldwide box office from a $178M production budget. That commercial success teamed with a hugely positive critical response has Paramount ready to keep the franchise alive for a few years to come.
