DEADPOOL 2 extended “Super Duper Cut” to premiere at SDCC

Deadpool 2

It was recently announced that Deadpool 2 will be getting the extended cut treatment on home video. Now star Ryan Reynolds has confirmed we will be seeing the “Super Duper Cut” a lot sooner than expected.

In a tweet yesterday Reynolds confirmed the new cut will land on Blu-Ray on August 21. The digital edition of the film will arrive on August 7. Both dates are much sooner than we anticipated.

The “Super Duper Cut” will be getting its world premiere at San Diego Comic Con in a couple of weeks. Attendees with 4-Day or Saturday passes can grab tickets for the premiere at the Sails Pavillion from 09:00 on Saturday 21 July.

Check out the brief trailer for the new cut in the tweet below.

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

Ryan Reynolds will be joined in Deadpool 2 by T.J. Miller, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni and Stefan Kapičić who all reprise roles from the first film. Newcomers to the franchise include Josh Brolin as Cable and Zazie Beetz, Jack Kesy and Shioli Kutsuna. David Leitch takes over directing duties for the sequel.
