Good news for fans of the various DC Comics TV series this morning. First up is an update on the Black Lightning project. Originally housed at FOX the series moved to The CW earlier this year when positive buzz started to build. We’ve now heard via the network that Black Lightning has been picked up for a full series. No news yet on an episode order but this is great news for the expansion of the Arrow-verse.
Brining Black Lightning into the Arrow-verse on The CW will also be Executive Producer Greg Berlanti. ‘Black Lightning’ joins the roster of CW DC shows which includes Arrow, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl.
Black Lightning stars Cress Williams, China Anne McClain, Nafessa Williams and Christine Adams.
Next up is an update on Gotham. The series has seen a slight dip in ratings during its third season but continues to be a big draw for time-shifting viewers. Network FOX has slowly been announcing pickups for the next season, including the axing of fan-favourite Sleepy Hollow. Overnight the network confirmed that Gotham will be returning for a fourth season in the autumn!
