It feels like only yesterday it was confirmed that Daniel Craig would be returning for Bond 25. The announcement of his return also heralded the announcement that Danny Boyle (Trainspotting) would be taking over directing duties from Sam Mendes.
Unfortunately word has just broken via the official Bond twitter that Boyle has now left the project.
A brief statement from producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli alongside Craig announced that due to “creative differences” Boyle will no longer be directing the film.
The 25th film in the franchise is currently due for release on October 25, 2019 in the UK, before arriving stateside two weeks later on November 8.
