After losing original director Danny Boyle several weeks ago Bond 25 is finally getting back on track.
Yesterday it was announced that Cary Joji Fukunaga will be taking over the directors chair. The film has also found itself a new release date. Originally set to hit cinemas in October 2019 it will now arrive on Valentines day (Feb 14) 2020.
Fukunaga is most famous for directing Maniac and Beasts of no Nation. It is not yet known whether the films script will be entirely re-written following the departure of Boyle and his team.
In a short statement producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said “We are delighted to be working with Cary. His versatility and innovation make him an excellent choice for our next James Bond adventure.”
