Earlier this year we found out that Batwoman was coming to The CW.
At that stage we understood the character would be joining all the other DCTV characters for this years big cross-over week. Following this years “Crisis on Earth-X” storyline we learnt our heroes would be venturing to Gotham and meeting the costumed hero.
Now comes the news that there’s a new DCTV series in the works. Batwoman is heading to The CW full-time from executive producer Greg Berlanti and writer Caroline Dries (The Vampire Diaries).
A brief synopsis for the series reads:
“Batwoman revolves around Kate Kane, who, armed with a passion for social justice and flair for speaking her mind, soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet: in a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.”
Expect some minor news on this series to come from San Diego Comic Con this weekend!
