After a few teases from the Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Twitter account, a brand new season has been announced for the highly popular show from Kyoto Animation. Just a few days ago, the Twitter account tweeted for the first time since June 2019 promising “something awesome”.
Well, it couldn’t get more awesome than a season 2 announcement. Two visuals were dropped as the announcement went live and they are brilliant. The new season- Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S– will be released some time in 2021 and we can’t wait.
You can check out the visuals below.
We also got a special “Social Distancing” poster.
After the arson attack on Kyoto back in July 2019, we are overjoyed to see that the studio is back. They have some incredibly exciting projects on the way- Including a Violet Evergarden movie. On top of that, we finally get to see Tohru, Kobayashi, and the rest of the gang back in action for more hilarious adventures.
The first season of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid aired back in 2017. It’s safe to say that a lot of people are going to be ecstatic about the return of our favourite group of dragons. Step aside Drogon, Tohru is back in town.
If you haven’t watched the first season yet- what are you doing?- you can stream it on Crunchyroll with various dubs including French, Spanish and German.
Here is the official synopsis for season 1:
Miss Kobayashi is your average office worker who lives a boring life, alone in her small apartment–until she saves the life of a female dragon in distress. The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to go off the deep end!
Be sure to check this series out. It’s fun, heart warming and epic. It is everything you need during this weird time. Make sure you keep an eye out for more news about season 2 and you can read up on more anime news here.
