Netflix has announced a brand new prequel series set in the same world as Henry Cavill’s The Witcher. This exciting news was announced today via the Netflix NX Twitter account. They also gave a slight insight as to what we can expect from this new show.
Interestingly, The Witcher: Blood Origin will be set 1,200 years before Geralt of Rivia became a Monster hunter. Fans will be taken back to the creation of the very first Witcher. We will finally be able to learn more about the process behind making a Witcher- how they are trained, why they are so strong, and, more importantly, who the first Witcher was.
1200 years before Geralt of Rivia, the worlds of monsters, men and elves merged into one, and the first Witcher came to be.
