It’s hard to believe it but we’re nearly a year on from Avengers: Endgame and the death of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.). But as the MCU prepares to start a new phase fans and the press are still keen to know if Downey could be coaxed back in to the role in the future.
Appearing on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, the actor discussed exactly what lengths Marvel Studios would have to go to in order to get him back.
“To me, starting up again is off the table,” Downey explains. “I feel like I’ve done all I could with that character. There would have to be a super compelling argument and a series of events that made it obvious. But the other thing is, I wanna do other stuff.”
Unless it was a flashback adventure it seems incredibly unlikely that Marvel would want to undo one of the greatest moments in their cinematic history. What do you think? Would you like to see Iron Man on film once more?
