With the events of Avengers: Endgame out in the open fans have felt comfortable in the knowledge that the upcoming Black Widow movie would be a prequel/origin story for the character.
Now a new rumour suggests just where Natasha Romanov’s first solo outing may sit in the overall MCU timeline.
According to sources at MCU Exchange Sebatian Stan discussed the subject at a recent convention appearance in Italy.
According to accounts of his appearance Stan told fans that Black Widow takes place shortly after the events of Captain America: Civil War. That would make sense given its the biggest gap in the timeline where Romanov could have both present day adventures and recount the story of her origin.
What kind of story would you like to see the first Black Widow movie tell?
Black Widow will see the return of Scarlett Johansson in her first solo outing. The film currently doesn’t have a release date but is expected to occupy the May 1, 2020 release date being held by Marvel Studios.
