Following the mammoth success fo Venom (reviewed here) Sony Pictures is moving ahead with its Marvel slate. Overnight the company has dated not one but two Marvel movies for release in 2020.
The studio will be releasing Untitled Sony/Marvel movie on 7/10/20 and Untitled Sony/Marvel Sequel on 10/02/20.
It’s most likely that the untitled sequel will be Venom 2. Though not officially announced we do know the cast signed three-picture deals. With the current Venom due to hit $800M worldwide any day its safe to say a sequel is coming.
But what would the other movie be? It’s most likely Morbius: The Living Vampire which we know is due to enter production in early 2019.
One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
Venom stars Tom Hardy in the lead role. Supporting cast includes Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, Reid Scott and Woody Harrelson. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) from a script by Scott Rosenberg & Jeff Pinkner. Executive producers are David Householter, the legendary Stan Lee and Kelly Marcel. Venom is in cinemas worldwide now!
