We’ve been eagerly awaiting confirmation of just how long Black Panther will run. Now we finally have confirmation that the film will be one of the longest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The official record at the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has confirmed both that the film will be rated 12A in the UK and also that it will run for 134 minutes.
Captain America: Civil War is the longest MCU entry clocking in at 147 minutes whilst solo Marvel efforts tend to clock in around 115-120 minutes. This means that Black Panther fans can expect a lengthy first visit to Wakanda when the film hits cinemas.
Black Panther is directed by Ryan Coogler from a screenplay co-written with Joe Robert Cole. Chadwick Boseman reprises his role as T’Challa/Black Panther and is joined in the film by Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Any Serkis and Forest Whitaker.
The Marvel Studios/Disney film is due for release February 12, 2018 in the UK and Feb 16 in the US.
